New York Gas Prices Today – Gas prices in the state have risen for the second consecutive week, reaching an average of $3.22 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday, up from last week’s $3.18 per gallon, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

This increase marks a rise of approximately 10 cents since last month’s average. Over the past year, New York has experienced fluctuating prices, with lows of $3.11 on January 22, 2024, and highs of $3.86 on August 14, 2023.

Comparatively, a year ago, the average gas price in New York stood at $3.37 per gallon, indicating a 5% decrease from the current average.

Despite the upward trend, New York’s gas prices remain slightly below the national average. Last week, the average gas price across the United States was $3.27 per gallon, representing a 1.6% increase from the previous week’s average of $3.19 per gallon.
